<li><strong>You can be self employed:</strong> This is a  prospect that is increasingly being denied to other health care providers such as optometrists and even  GPs . Big Business controls a lot of health practices. Consider how often you see an independent optometrist these days – can they compete on price with the multinational chains?</li>
<li><strong>Legal Issues:</strong> In Australia (unlike the USA where things are very different), podiatrists very, very rarely  face malpractice suits. The nature of podiatry practice does not lend itself to accidentally harming one’s patients. Also, you never have to give your  clients  the bad news that their condition will be terminal.</li>
<li><strong>Working Hours:</strong> Emergency call outs are very unlikely. This is  welcome news  for those among us who like their sleep uninterrupted.</li>

<p>There is only one way to stop this from happening and that is to set up a style guide. Not only will a style guide help you direct the reproduction of your logo &#8211; it will also help you sustain your brand recognition – which many argue is one of the strongest selling tools.</p>
<p>We have placed the below steps together for you as a starting point.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1</strong> : Define the audience for your Style Guide. Is this for staff to use in-house or is this for suppliers and contractors to refer to?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The typical question customers ask when buying a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: will I take an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, an acronym for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, which stands for ‘digital light processing’ are the two most common projector imaging technologies. With so many brands and models available, it can be overwhelming for consumers to pick between those technologies. It comes down to the fact that LCD projectors give far superior image quality and colour accuracy. The next paragraph will tell you why DLP projectors struggle with creating a comparable rate of image quality.</p>
<p>Think of a set of blinds in your house for your bedroom window. With the twist of a rod you can turn the shutters open or closed, depending on whether you want to let light in or not. And that is exactly how an LCD projector works. Each pixel functions like its own shutter on a set of blinds to either shine light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is constructed of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as the professionals like to call them. Each pixel element operates to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the point when the projector switches on to when the content reaches your screen is vitally significant with regard to image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors project white light from the lamp by cutting it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which project the coloured light to 3 separate LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels create the elements of the image by processing each pixel on and off. The pixels are then meshed in a glass prism to form the projector image. A significant point to know about LCD projectors is that all three colours are directed onto your screen all at the same time. The way a DLP projector operates is vastly different and even the way an image looks is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is projected through a rotating colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This approach to forming an image casts a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors mentioned above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to produce the image elements. The elements of the image are cast in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s eye will then combine each coloured element of the image into the single whole image. Using LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to create top brightness and spectacular colour accuracy. In DLP, only one colour is available at a time, causing lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some DLP manufacturers have put a white segment into the colour wheel to improve overall brightness, but this also damages colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I find in forums all the time that DLP has a higher contrast ratio and ergo must be superior quality. For those who do not know, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the machine is capable of. DLP projectors do provide high contrast specifications compared to most LCD projectors. At a glance, this seems to be a benefit, however, in truth, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room in which the projector is being used. Do not be tricked by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you are trying to view needs moving images, DLP projection technology can also create image marks, or ‘artifacts’. The most typical artifact that a DLP projector creates with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is unavoidable in DLP systems because moving images change up between the time red, blue and green colours are displayed. LCD projectors do not have this disadvantage because all colours are sent simultaneously. DLP designers have come up with 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to resolve the colour break up issue, but the expense of these projectors make them almost impossible for many businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another difference between LCD and DLP is how they match the balance for the refractive qualities of light. Remember back to high school science, and remember how the various colours of light refract different amounts when directed through the same lens. The downfall with DLP projectors is that they use the one same panel and the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are obviously different and refract light in a different way. Generally with a DLP projector, some yellow colour will show above and a spill of blue will be projected below something as simple as a single black line. In manufacturing LCD projectors can be fixed to take away these effects on the projected image, because each colour is processed on a separate LCD panels.</p>
<p>The isolated true plus (excluding price) with buying a DLP projector is its smaller total size and weight. However, this is only relevant to portability and cannot be traded off against the image superiority of LCD projectors. If overall picture quality is crucial to you, then the decision is no-brainer. Choose an LCD projector! LCD projectors will consistently create bright, colourful images with fewer image mistakes. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch came to dominance in sea power during the 17th century, the first yacht became a leisure craft used initially by royalty and secondly by the burghers in the canals as well as the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Yacht racing was incidental, borne from private games. English yachting originated with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his return to the English throne in 1660, the city of Amsterdam sent him a 20-metre (66-foot) pleasure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he named Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, sovereign 1685–88), ordered for additional yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and returning, on a Â£100 punt. Yachting rose as classy for the rich and nobility, but after that time the trend did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht association in the British Isles, the Water Club, was formed in about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard organization, and held much naval panoply and formality. The closest thing to a race was the “chase,” when the “fleet” pursued an imagined enemy. The club went on, largely as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, by merging with other organisations, it became the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing was first seen in some stipulated manner on the Thames about the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland founded the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV came to sovereignty in 1820, it was then named the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded with a racing dispute, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht organisation had been initiated at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal sponsorship made the Solent &#8211; the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight &#8211; the continuing location of British yacht racing. The association at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, again at the rise of George IV. Each member was required to have boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing races for high bets were held, and the social life was splendid. Ultimately Royal Yachting Club boats were raised in size to bigger than 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting was first accomplished with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and persisted when the English gained dominance. Sailing was largely for pleasure and reached its high point in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which sailed on the Mediterranean Sea and created a standard of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in the area from the late 19th century. The first persisting American yacht club, the Detroit Boat Club, was instigated in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens began the New York Yacht Club aboard his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>Early sailing yachts were within the design of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century through to the later half of the 19th century. The style of large yachts was first largely affected by the success of America, which was created by George Steers for a club led by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) was named after its success at Cowes in 1851. The first yachts were not designed and manufactured in today&#8217;s sense, with only a model being used. Not until the latter half of the 19th century did what was called naval architecture come into being. Not until the 1920s did the use of the research of aerodynamics do for the structure of sails and rigging what such study had done earlier for hulls.</p>
<p>Because almost all sailboats had to be individually manufactured, there came a requirement for handicapping boats before the one-design class boats were made. Thus, a rating rule was written, which resulted in the International Rule, accepted in 1906 and revised in 1919. In modern times, one of the rapidly blossoming areas in the sailing industry is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are built to standard specifications in length, beam, sail area, and other elements (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing such boats can be had on an even basis with no handicapping necessary. A prime example is the uniform International America&#8217;s Cup Class taken on for yachts in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>As long as yachting was an activity largely for the aristocracy and the affluent, cost was no issue, and the size of boats grew, in both length and weight. The rise and desire of smaller craft came in the later half of the 19th century out of the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A journey around the world (1895–98) sailed single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray proved the seaworthiness of less sizeable yachts. Later in the 20th century, notably after World War II, smaller racing and recreational boats became commonplace, down to the dinghy, a preferred training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, craft of less than 3 m were traveled in single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>Post the decade 1840–50, during which steam was set to replace sail power in public craft, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were favoured increasingly in pleasure boats. Sizeable power yachts were progressed to a high degree, and long-distance cruising was a favoured activity of the affluent.
